Voices in Resistance

As part of the opening night of Miroir/Mirror, La Nuée cooperative, in partnership with Ancrages magazine, is launching a call for poetic texts.

​

Miroir/Mirror seeks to amplify voices that are too often marginalized and to circulate words that question, displace, and transform.

We invite authors and anyone working within feminist, queer, and intersectional perspectives to submit texts designed for live performance. Selected works will be read in front of an audience during the opening night on June 4 at 6:00 PM.

Participation Format

• Poetic text

• 5 to 10 minutes

• Specifically written for public performance/reading

 

Remuneration
A fee of $150 will be paid for each text selected and performed during the event.

Spirit of the Evening
This opening night offers a space for attentive listening, where words circulate like mirrors: they do not merely reflect; they distort, reveal, and displace. We are looking for texts that dare to be present, that resonate through the voice, and that embrace the risks of both the intimate and the political.
